Personal identifiers such as names and medical record numbers will not be collected. Each record will be assigned a unique study code. Data will be stored in a password-protected computer and accessed only by the research team. The results will be reported in aggregate form without identifying any individual participant
Participants may experience mild discomfort or difficulty while providing a sputum sample. There is a minimal risk of loss of confidentiality; however, all personal information will be kept confidential and coded to protect participants' privacy. No invasive procedures or experimental treatments will be performed, and the study involves minimal risk. Participants diagnosed with tuberculosis will be referred to the appropriate healthcare facility for further evaluation and treatment according to national guidelines.
1.Contributing to the early initiation of appropriate treatment through accurate and rapid diagnosis, thereby reducing disease transmission and improving patient prognosis. 2.Serving as a valuable reference for future researchers and contributing to the existing body of knowledge on tuberculosis diagnosis, particularly in high-burden and resource-limited settings. 3.Supporting healthcare policymakers and clinicians in selecting the most accurate, cost-effective, and time-efficient diagnostic method, particularly in resource-limited settings, to improve early tuberculosis detection and patient outcomes.
