Objectives: This hospital-based cross-sectional study aims to evaluate the baseline knowledge levels, attitudes, and screening practices regarding cervical cancer among women of reproductive age attending outpatient clinics at Dongola Maternity Hospital. Specific objectives include assessing socio-demographic determinants, identifying primary information sources, and determining independent predictors of screening uptake and health literacy. Methodology: A quantitative cross-sectional design will be utilized. Data will be collected via an interviewer-administered, structured questionnaire adapted from World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Consecutive sampling will be employed to recruit eligible consenting women during daily outpatient visits. Data will be analyzed using SPSS, utilizing descriptive statistics, bivariate chi-square tests (\chi^2), and multivariable binary logistic regression to control for potential confounders at a significance level of p < 0.05. Expected Outcomes: The findings will establish empirical baseline data on cervical cancer awareness and screening barriers within northern Sudan. Results will identify key sociodemographic and behavioral predictors of screening behavior, providing actionable evidence for local health authorities to design targeted public health interventions, improve clinical counseling protocols, and enhance cervical cancer prevention services at Dongola Maternity Hospital.
