This study aims to assess the prevalence of night shift work and poor sleep quality and to examine their associations with physical well-being among healthcare providers working in selected public hospitals in Dongola Locality, Northern State, Sudan, in 2026. An institution-based analytical cross-sectional study will be conducted among healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory technicians. Data will be collected using a structured questionnaire, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the SF-12 Health Survey. Data will be analyzed using appropriate descriptive and inferential statistical methods to assess the associations between night shift work, sleep quality, and physical well-being. The findings are expected to provide local evidence to support improvements in healthcare workers' sleep health, physical well-being, and working conditions.
