My study aims to assess the prevalence of intra-dialytic complications and identify associated risk factors among patients on maintenance hemodialysis at El Gomaih Dialysis Center in Dongola City, Sudan, in 2026. It will use an analytic cross-sectional study design, collecting data on complications and patients’ demographic and clinical characteristics to determine the prevalence of these complications and explore factors associated with their occurrence.

1. Determining the prevalence: The study may provide local data on the prevalence and types of intradialytic complications among patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis at El Gomaih Dialysis Center in Dongola. 2. Identifying associated factors: The findings may help identify patient-related and dialysis-related factors associated with intradialytic complications. 3. Improving patient care: The results may help healthcare providers recognize patients who are more likely to develop complications and improve their monitoring during hemodialysis sessions. 4. Supporting preventive measures: The findings may inform the development of appropriate measures to reduce the occurrence of intradialytic complications. 5. Supporting future research: The study may provide baseline data for future studies on hemodialysis complications in Dongola and other parts of Sudan.
